Great Resources for Social Media Newbies (and Oldbies)

Social media marketing is the process of promoting your site or business through social media channels and it is a powerful strategy that will get you links, attention and massive amounts of traffic. You probably already include your name, company and contact info on your email signature (if not, then shame on you!), now take it a step further and make every email a power networking tool as well. Along with your phone and website, add your Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook and blog names (hyperlinked, of course!). Take it a step further with a logo graphic, or even your business card (as I do).


It fits the basics of good promotion: Unobtrusive, helpful, easy, effective, and -- it's free!
